SLL is the everyday low-profile scissor table: a solid platform with a very low closed height so wheeled loads can roll on from floor level, usually via a ramp, without excavating a pit. European makers such as EdmoLift advertise collapsed heights around 80–100 mm on low-profile ranges precisely to cut civil works and keep the table flexible on existing floors.

Why closed height is the first specification
On a standard SLX, closed height is often high enough that pallet trucks cannot board without a pit or dock. Low-profile design flips the priority: get the deck near the floor first, then deliver a practical stroke for ergonomic working height. If your process starts with a hand pallet truck or trolley on the slab, SLL is usually the correct family to evaluate before any high-lift option.

Ramp loading vs pit mounting
Solid low-profile platforms are commonly paired with an access ramp. The ramp angle, length, and approach clearances become part of the machine layout — not an afterthought. A pit-mounted conventional table can still be right when you need flush floor integration and no ramp footprint. Write down which constraint hurts more: floor area for a ramp, or civil cost and drainage for a pit.

Capacity and stroke realism
European low-profile catalogues typically sit in a more modest capacity band than heavy single-scissor giants — often from hundreds of kilos up to about two tonnes on common models — with strokes suited to workstation raising rather than mezzanine transfer. Do not expect SLL to replace SLV2/SLV3 for high landings. Use it to raise a pallet or trolley load to a comfortable build, pack, or feed height.

Solid deck implications
A solid platform accepts ramps and mixed wheeled equipment. It does not give the drive-in pallet-jack pocket of a U-shaped table. If operators must insert a pallet jack into the platform opening and leave without transferring sideways, you want SLLU, not SLL. If the load is simply longer than a standard low-profile deck, look at SLLW.

Safety and installation notes
Low closed height reduces pit risks but does not remove EN 1570-1 obligations: trip bars, hose-burst protection, control devices, and clearances still apply. Plan power-pack location, cable routes, and whether the ramp creates a trip hazard in pedestrian aisles. Lifting eye points in the base — common on European low-profile frames — help installation, but the floor must still be flat and strong enough for point loads when raised.

2) Ramp length, angle, and aisle space — or confirmation that a pit is preferred
