SLLW low-profile twin tables: longer decks that still load from the floor

jul. 23, 2026 / Por MyeDrawings    / en Workshop & Equipment

SLLW is the twin low-profile layout: a longer solid platform supported by two scissor packages, still collapsed near floor level for ramp loading. It sits between a compact SLL and a conventional SLH2 — you keep pit-free access, but you stretch length for longer pallets, fixtures, or paired loads that will not fit a short low-profile deck.

Why twin appears in low-built ranges
Marco’s low-built catalogue already shows the pattern: standard low-built models around 1.3–1.4 m platform length, and longer MLT twin-style entries around 2.7–2.8 m that keep closed heights near 90–130 mm. Twin support is how you grow length without turning the deck into a diving board. European practice for long loads on ordinary-height tables (horizontal double / twin scissors) follows the same logic; SLLW simply keeps the collapsed height in the low-profile band.

Floor access still rules the brief
If wheeled equipment must board from the slab, closed height and ramp geometry remain the first filters — just as on SLL and on EdmoLift low-profile solid decks with access ramps. A longer platform usually means a wider approach zone or a longer ramp. Measure aisle space before you celebrate the extra millimetres of deck length.

Load distribution along the length
Long low-profile decks fail when the mass lives at one end. Brief whether operators place one long product, two side-by-side units, or a growing stack. Ask for synchronisation behaviour between the two packages and for stiffness expectations with partial loading. Capacity labels alone do not describe an end-heavy cycle.

SLLW vs SLL vs SLH2
Choose SLL when a standard low-profile length covers the load and you want the simplest pit-free table. Choose SLLW when length is the missing piece but floor-level boarding is non-negotiable. Choose SLH2 when the platform is long but closed height can be a normal single-scissor package (no ultra-low requirement). Choose SLLU when the loading method is drive-in pallet jack into a U-opening rather than ramp-on to a solid deck.

Installation and safety
Longer low-profile frames still need flat, adequate floors and clearances for EN 1570-1 safeguarding. Plan where the power pack sits relative to the ramp, how pedestrians cross the approach, and whether the table is embedded in a line with conveyors at each end. Extra length multiplies trip and pinch points if guarding is copied from a short SLL without review.

Brief checklist for an SLLW drawing
1) Required platform length vs the real longest load
2) H MIN for the pallet truck / trolley and ramp envelope
3) How mass is distributed along L in normal use
4) Working stroke / ergonomic height — not mezzanine reach
5) Guarding, ramp traffic, and EN 1570-1 use case
Get those right and SLLW stays a long, floor-accessible workstation — not an accidental hybrid of SLH2 height habits and SLL access needs.
